At Sue's Place Child Care Center, our primary mission is to provide exemplary care for the children in our area by offering a model program tailored to ensure the quality of a child’s daily experiences. To provide a safe and developmentally rich environment for children while their families have to be away.
Philosophy & Goals for Children
Children are growing and learning many things. Our job is to guide them in their physical, mental and emotional growth while you are at work. They are not perfect (nor are they expected to be); they have good days and bad days, just like adults.
All children learn at different rates. They learn best through naturally occurring events, and through play and activities that provide for autonomy, control and as much practice or repetition as is necessary to master new skills and to learn to develop their own interests. A thoughtful combination of teacher directed, child initiated, and classroom routines constitute our program. The environment is set-up to help children learn: who they are, what they are capable of and being part of a group. Messages will be clear and consistent. We believe that your family is your child’s first and most important teacher. Your perspective and insights, goals and desires of your child are essential to our providing a great program for him or her. Parents are always a welcome addition to our program.
Additionally, we believe that a learning environment that fosters respect for cultural diversity and that utilizes an open approach to education allows for optimal growth and development of your children.
We have the highest respect for children and their ability to progress through their childhood, developing at a steady pace. We strive to offer routines, activities and an atmosphere of fun and challenge.
